| Scrubs usually alongside alpine or lowland permanent or temporary waterbodies and comprising mainly willows (<strong>includes Salix</strong> spp) (sometimes with <strong>Myricaria germnanica, Hippophaea rhamnoides, Myrica gale</strong> and <strong>Frangula alnus</strong>) are separated from riverine scrubs more typical of the thermo-Mediterranean climate, such as tamarisk (<strong>includes Tamarix</strong>) or <strong>Nerium oleander, Vitex agnus-castus, Securinegia, Prunus</strong> or <strong>Viburnum</strong>. Note that the willow scrubs may occur in warmer climates as well. | ||
