Illyrian garrigues

English name: Illyrian garrigues

Description (English)

Shrubby formations, often low, of the meso- and occasionally supra-Mediterranean zones of the Adriatic lowlands of the Balkan peninsula from Istria to southern Albania. Included here are all sclerophyllous formations, regardless of substrate, except high maquis (F5.2) with Erica arborea and Arbutus spp.
