Description ( English )

Iberian and North African forests and woods dominated by [Quercus faginea], [Quercus canariensis] or [Quercus afares]. The humid formations of southwestern Iberia (units G1.772 and G1.773) are forest types of unique character in Europe and of extreme biological importance; also highly distinctive and vulnerable are the Baetic and Valencian formations listed under subunits G1.7714 and G1.7715.
