Facies with Ophiothrix quinquemaculata
Description (English)
This facies is exclusive to the muddy detritic biocenosis and is characterised by an unusual community of the brittlestar Ophiothrix quinquemaculata (Ophiuroidea). This species in some places forms an extremely dense population which is almost 90% ophiuran.
