Atlantic deciduous thickets of poor soils of Western Europe and western and northern Central Europe dominated by Frangula alnus, Sorbus aucuparia, Lonicera periclymenum or other shrubs, with the exception of brambles (genus Rubus), included in unit F3.13, or of brooms (genus Cytisus), gorse (Ulex europaeus), hazel (Corylus avellana), bracken (Pteridium aquilinum), separately covered in units F3.14, F3.15, F3.171, E5.31, respectively.
