Description ( English )
[Abies alba]- and [Picea abies]-dominated forests on serpentines, usually at altitude 1400-1600 m in the Balkan peninsula. [Erica carnea] is also relatively abundant. Other typical species are [Vaccinium myrtillus], [Festuca heterophylla], [Daphne blagayana], [Thymus montanus], [Saxifraga rotundifolia], [Valeriana montana], [Doronicum austriacum], [Campanula rotundifolia], [Luzula sylvatica], [Luzula nemorosa], [Senecio nemorensis], [Melampyrum album], [Sorbus aucuparia], [Hypericum perforatum], [Luzula maxima], [Oxalis acetosella], [Symphytum tuberosum], [Euphorbia amygdaloides], [Pyrola secunda].
