Description (English)

Deciduous broadleaved forests, commonly dominated by alder (Alnus glutinosa and A. incana), oak (Quercus robur) or aspen (Populus tremula) on non-acid peat with ground water at or seasonally above the surface in swamps through the lowlands of the nemoral and boreal zones.
