Description (English)

Evergreen coniferous forest of more drought-prone situations at scattered localities through the mountains of the mediterranean zone, dominated by black pine (Pinus nigra) and, except on Mediterranean islands, sometimes with subordinate Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), both trees often occurring as vicariant forms in different localities.
