Description (English)
Meso- and thermo-Mediterranean formations of North Africa, Spain, Italy, southern France, Greece, the southern Balkans and western Asia, dominated by tall perennial grasses of genera Stipa (Stipa lagascae, Stipa offneri i.a.) or Piptatherum (Oryzopsis), other than the very tall Stipa tenacissima or Stipa gigantea.
