Balkan mountain hay meadows
Description (English)
Mesophile tall grasslands in the mountain and sub-alpine areas of Balkan peninsula in the beech forest zone. They are dominated by Trisetum flavescens, Cynosurus cristatus, Festuca pratensis, and geographically differentiated by Balkan endemic species Armeria rumelica, Knautia dinarica, Rhinanthus rumelicus.
