Description (English)

Open, thermophile, stripped grasslands of the sunny slopes (adrets) of the (mostly) southern Alps and Central Massif, formed by calcifuge species of the hard, sharp-pointed Festuca varia group (Festuca varia, Festuca scabriculmis), often associated with Carex sempervirens s.l.
