Fraxinus excelsior-Alnus glutinosa woods of Atlantic, sub-Atlantic and subcontinental middle Europe, with an understorey rich in tall herbs, in particular, in sub-Atlantic areas, the tall Cirsium oleraceum and Eupatorium cannabinum and usually Carex acutiformis; these constitute a transition towards unit T12132
