Hellenic Quercus pubescens forests
Description (English)
Forests of Quercus pubescens ssp. pubescens, Carpinus orientalis, Carpinus betulus, Ostrya carpinifolia of the lower supra-Mediterranean level of Thessaly, Macedonia, Thrace, and locally, on calcareous soils, of western Greece and southern Albania, with northward penetration into the southern North Macedonia along the Vardar valley.
