Dobrogean paeonia sessile oak forests
Description (English)
Neutrophile Quercus dalechampii forests, limited to low hills of the Romanian Dobrogea, accompanied by Fraxinus excelsior ssp. excelsior, Fraxinus excelsior ssp. coriariifolia (Fraxinus coriariifolia), Fraxinus ornus, Tilia tomentosa, Carpinus orientalis in the tree layer, with Cornus mas in the shrub layer, and Paeonia peregrina and other sub-Mediterranean species, including Mercurialis ovata, Piptatherum virescens, Buglossoides purpurocaerulea (Lithospermum purpurocaeruleum), in the herb layer.
