Description (English)

Mostly fragmentary forests of the northern Thracian plain, its isolated hills and the fringing foothills of the Balkan Range, the eastern Rhodopes and the northwestern Stranja dominated by Quercus frainetto or sometimes Quercus cerris, accompanied by Carpinus orientalis, Crataegus monogyna and a thermophile, sub-Mediterranean cort
