Afro-Iberian thermophilous Quercus forests
Description (English)
Iberian and North African forests and woods dominated by Quercus faginea, Quercus canariensis or Quercus afares. The humid formations of southwestern Iberia (units T1972 and T1973) are forest types of unique character in Europe and of extreme biological importance; also highly distinctive and vulnerable are the Baetic and Valencian formations listed under subunits T19714 and T19715.
