Quercus trojana forest

Description (English)

Supra-Mediterranean, and occasionally meso-mediterranean woods dominated by the semideciduous Quercus trojana or its allies. Other typical species include Quercus pubescens, Carpinus orientalis, Juniperus oxycedrus, Cistus creticus, Fraxinus ornus, Dactylis glomerata, Brachypodium pinnatum, Helictotrichum convolutum and Ostrya carpinifolia.
