Ostrya carpinifolia-dominated woods of the supra-Mediterranean zone of the Mediterranean and Adriatic slope of the southeastern Alps, in the Gardesano- Dolomitic and Veneto-Julian sectors of Italy and extreme northwestern Slovenia.
