Hellenic Quercus macrolepis forests
Description (English)
Quercus macrolepis formations of continental Greece and its archipelagoes, as well as of ajacent Albania; well developed forests exist, in particular, in the Ionian islands and on Lesbos; more modified, grove-like, stands, exist on the maritime slopes of the low mountains bordering the gulf of Arta and in western Etolia, in the northwestern Peloponnese, in Thessaly, in Attica, in Thrace, in Crete.
