Boreo-Atlantic crowberry-bog bilberry birch forests
Description (English)
Woods and thickets of Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii of Iceland and western Norway with an ericoid-dominated undergrowth, formed mainly by Empetrum hermaphroditum, dominant in Iceland, and Vaccinium uliginosum, dominant in Norway, accompanied by Calluna vulgaris, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Betula nana, Deschampsia flexuosa, mosses and, in Iceland, Juncus trifidus, Kobresia myosuroides.
