Dacian Melampyrum biharense oak-hornbeam forests
Description (English)
Forests of Quercus robur and Carpinus betulus of the Transylvanian plateau and the eastern sub-Pannonic hills of Crisana, developed on basicline deep brown soils of depressions and gentle slopes, under a weakly sub-Atlantic climate, with a species-rich herb layer formed by Carpinion betuli species, including Melampyrum bihariense, Helleborus purpurascens, Lathyrus transsilvanicus, Aposeris foetida, Hepatica transsilvanica, Aconitum moldavicum.
