Oak-hornbeam forests dominated by Quercus petraea s.l., Quercus robur, Quercus cerris, and sometimes Quercus frainetto, of somewhat humid sites, shady slopes and narrow valleys of the Quercion frainetto zone of Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania; they are characterized by a distinctly middle European cort
