Adenostyles alliariae subalpine spruce forests
Description (English)
Picea abies forests of the subalpine level of the Alps developed in high precipitation regions on usually calcareous bedrock, sometimes on base-rich siliceous substrates such as flysch, with an undergrowth dominated by dense formations of tall herbs, in particular, Adenostyles alliariae, Cicerbita alpina, Rumex alpestris.
