Aegean Abies forests

Description (English)

Abies-dominated fir or fir-pine forests of the northeastern Mediterranean basin, developed outside of, but in the immediate vicinity of beech Fagus spp., by Abies cephalonica and Abies equi-trojani, outlier species of the group of Abies alba and Abies nordmanniana.
