Eastern Carpathian arolla forests
Description (English)
Pinus cembra and Picea abies-dominated formations of the subalpine level of the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, formed at the upper forest limit, with a herb layer dominated by spruce forest species and a shrub layer with Pinus mugo and Juniperus nana.
