Pinus pinea forests of coastal and lowland Catalonia, often natural, and with an abundant shrub layer comprising Arbutus unedo, Erica arborea, Ulex australis, Calicotome spinosa, Cistus albidus, Cistus monspeliensis, Cistus salvifolius, Cistus laurifolius.
