Boreal cottonsedge Pinus sylvestris bog forests
Description (English)
Scots pine bog woods of the western boreal region of the Palaearctic, with a 5-7 m high tree layer formed of Pinus sylvestris, sometimes with an important admixture of birch, a field layer dominated by Eriophorum vaginatum, and a sphagnum carpet of, in particular, Sphagnum angustifolium, Sphagnum fuscum, of raised bogs and aapa mire fringes.
