Black sea upper circalittoral sandy mud
Description (English)
Sandy muds in the upper circalittoral zone found all around the Black Sea coast. The habitat is characterised by faunal communities dominated by bivalve molluscs and polychaete worms. Characteristic species: Heteromastus filiformis, Dipolydora quadrilobata, Nephthys hombergii and Spisula subtruncata.
