Cantabrian deergrass and bog asphodel acidic fens
Description (English)
Subalpine formations of the Cordillera Cantabrica, and, very locally, of the Orensano-Sanabrian mountains and the Cordillera Central, dominated by Scirpus cespitosus and Narthecium ossifragum, usually forming an outer fringe to the Caricetum carpetani, on somewhat less wet ground. Among companion species are Carex echinata, Carex fusca, Carex binervis, Drosera rotundifolia, Erica tetralix.
