Calamagrostis stricta quaking bogs
Description (English)
Basicline transition mire communities of the Palaearctic domaine, dominated by, or rich in, Calamagrostis stricta (Calamagrostis neglecta), often associated with Carex diandra, recorded, in particular, from northern Fennoscandia, northern, eastern and pre-Alpine Germany, Poland, Hungary. In middle Europe, Calamagrostis stricta is a very rare, decreasing, threatened glacial relict.
