Description (English)
High hummocks of Sphagnum fuscum of palsa mires of the western palsa mire region of the Palaearctic domaine, often congregating in broad fields, resulting, like the palsa mounds, from frost action, but with a core in which the frost is only seasonal though long-lasting.
