Brown sedge beds
Description (English)
Formations of Carex disticha of Palaearctic humid alluvial meadows on clay and of temporarily drying peatbogs; often in contact with grasslands of the Calthion and sometimes placed in that alliance; they tolerate fairly long desiccation and have a relatively rich accompanying flora.
