Greater pond sedge beds
Description (English)
Formations of Carex riparia, mostly characteristic of larger valleys and southern regions of the Palaearctic domaine, intolerant of desiccation. They form on mineral or thinly peaty substrates, often in areas almost permanently inundated by somewhat lime-rich water.
