Pre-Carpathian quaking sedge-pedunculate oak forests
Description (English)
Meso-hygrophile, acidophile, Quercus robur forests of the plain of the Somes and the Crisul of northwestern Romania, of the basins of the Transylvanian Plateau and of the Getic foothills of Oltenia and Muntenia, developed on old terraces and depressions with argilous substrates, with an herb layer dominated by Carex brizoides, accompanied by other hygrophile species, including Deschampsia cespitosa, Lysimachia nummularia, Glechoma hederacea.
