Dacian ash-sycamore ravine forests

Description (English)

Mixed forests of Acer pseudoplatanus, Fraxinus excelsior, Ulmus glabra, Acer platanoides, accompanied by an herb layer rich in hygrophile species, such as Asplenium scolopendrium, Lunaria rediviva, Cardamine impatiens, Polystichum setiferum, Cystopteris fragilis, on calcareous substrates of humid narrow valleys and steep slopes of the eastern Carpathians.
