Rila and Pirin Macedonian pine forests

Description (English)

Forests dominated by Pinus peuce of high altitudes of the Rila and Pirin ranges of Bulgaria, forming a belt of mixed or pure stands within the 1650 to 2100 metre zone and harbouring the largest populations of the species.
