English name: Atlantic acidophilous beech forests

Description (English)

Fagus sylvatica or Fagus sylvatica-Quercus spp. forests developed on acid soils of the Atlantic domaine of Western Europe, differing from the forests of unit G1.61 by, in particular, the absence of Luzula luzuloides and a greater abundance of Ilex aquifolium. They may also contain Taxus baccata.
