Description (English)

Forests of strongly sub-Mediterranean character, dominated by subthermophilous oak species, such as Quercus cerris, Quercus frainetto, sometimes Quercus petraea, Quercus pseudocerris, Quercus boissieri, characteristic of the supra-Mediterranean level of the southern part of the eastern Mediterranean peninsulas and of southern Asia Minor.
