Description ( English )
Xero-thermophile oak woods of continental affinities of the wooded steppe zone of Pannonia and the Ponto-Sarmatic region, and their irradiations into regions or sites of high local continentality west and north of the Ponto-Pannonic region. The substrate consists of 'Loess' (Chernozem soils). Different [Quercus] spp. dominate in the tree layer, which is rich in continental steppic vegetation elements and geophytes of the [Aceri tatarici-Quercion] and [Potentillo albae-Quercion], e.g. [Carex michelii], [Dactylis polygama], [Geum urbanum], [Lathryrus niger], [Polygonatum latifolium], [Pulmonaria mollis ssp. mollis], [Tanacetum corymbosum], [Vincetoxicum hirundinaria], [Convallaria majalis], [Dictamnus albus], [Festuca rupicola] and [Potentilla alba].
