Description (English)
Highly distinctive Fagus sylvatica or Fagus moesiaca forests of the western and central Balkan Range, developed on acid, deep coluvions of lower slopes and brook valleys, in which the understorey is dominated by the lauriphyllous Prunus laurocerasus.
