Description (English)

Fagus sylvatica forests of the eastern Carpathians and pre-Carpathian hills, developed on acid soils, in particular podsols and brown acid soils, mostly limited to rather small surfaces within the more extensive neutrophilous forest complexes, characterized by a species-poor acidophilous flora that includes Vaccinium myrtillus, Hieracium rotundatum, Calamagrostis hirundinacea, Luzula luzuloides, Deschampsia flexuosa, Galium rotundifolium, Galium kitaibelianum, Galium baillonii, Veronica officinalis, Blechnum spicant, Pteridium aquilinum.
