Broadleaved evergreen forest
Description (English)
Temperate forests dominated by evergreen broadleaved sclerophyllous or laurophyllous trees, or by palms. They are characteristic of the Mediterranean and warm-temperate humid zones. Old plantations which have many of the characteristics of natural or semi-natural forests are included, more intensively managed, and less natural, forests are included in vegetated man-made habitats.
