Description (English)

Juniperus communis thickets developed on calcareous substrates of middle Europe, in particular, of southern England, southern Germany, southern Belgium, the periphery of the Paris Basin, the Danish, Swedish and eastern Baltic islands, the Estonian mainland, often as colonization facies of medio-European calcareous grasslands of unit E1.
