Formations of annual grasses and flowering plants of Sicily, the Maltese Islands, Linosa, Lampedusa and Pantelleria, sometimes subhalophile, developed on steep slopes, exposed crests, coastal rocks and volcanic material, often among the rocky shore communities of B3.33 or the pre-desert scrub of F5.55.
