Description (English)

Steppes of the southern edge and valleys of the Podolian, Central Russian and Volga plateaux, forming a wooded steppe belt north of the Pontic plains, extending west to the upper Prut basin of Romanian Moldavia and east to the Volga-Kama trough, composed of Stipa lessingiana, Stipa joannis, Stipa pulcherrima, Stipa ucrainica, Koeleria macrantha, Agropyron cristatum, Festuca valesiaca, Astragalus onobrychis.
