Distichium capillaceum snowbed communities
Description (English)
Moss dominated snowbed communities of calcareous gravel and stonefields, or moraine, of Scandinavian mountains, with, in particular, Distichium capillaceum, Pohlia albicans, Pohlia drummondii, often pioneering on "new ground". Individual vascular plants, growing widely separated, include, notably, Cardamine pratensis ssp. dentata, Cerastium arcticum, Cerastium cerastoides, Saxifraga oppositifolia.
