Balkan closed evergreen sedge grasslands
Description (English)
Closed calciphile grasslands developed on deep nutrient-poor soils overlying limestones in sheltered locations of the alpine and subalpine levels of the western Balkan Range system, in particular of the Suva Planina and the Rtanj, formed by Sesleria nitida, Carex sempervirens, Sempervivum marmoreum, Lychnis viscaria.
