Humid grasslands of pre-Pannonic hills of Austria, Moravia, Hungary, Slovakia and Transylvania, rich in Cirsium canum, usually dominated by Alopecurus pratensis, Festuca pratensis, Deschampsia cespitosa, with Polygonum bistorta, Angelica sylvestris, Scirpus sylvaticus.
