Description (English)

Cirsium appendiculatum tall herb formations of the Balkan Range, the Rhodope Mountains, the Moeso-Macedonian mountains, the Pelagonides, irradiating southwards, in the montane, sylvatic, level of the northern Pindus and the Pieria. The communities of the Balkan Range and the Rhodopides harbour several species endemic or rare in the region, including Alchemilla plicatula, Trollius europaeus, Pinguicula vulgaris.
