Dry, acidocline forests of Fagus moesiaca or Fagus sylvatica of the Balkan Range, with an understorey dominated by Festuca drymeja and comprising Galium rotundifolium and Luzula luzuloides, together with a reduced representation of Galium odoratum and the Fagion cortège.
